Tonight's workout was as follows:
- Run around the block
- 20 Burpees
- 12 push-ups (with my elbows going back, not out to the sides - which are MUCH HARDER)
5 of each of the above, with a minute rest between each set (except there was no break after the first set).
I finish my 5th set and I felt relief ... for about 10 seconds. Stacy says "1 minute rest" ... I quickly reminded her that I did 5 sets, thinking maybe she lost count (even though I'm the one who usually loses count) ... and she says with a very wicked-evil smile that the workout is only half over ... all of those sets took only a half hour of our one hour session!!! I could have cried!!!
Next up was jumping side to side over the crack in the ground ... 100 TIMES ... but it was really 200 jumps because in order for it to be ONE, I had to jump over the crack twice ... so basically it only counted when I jumped to the left .. and then there were the threats "every time you stop, you start over" and I took too long getting up off the bench and I was 8 in the hole ... right from the start, I was already behind!!! Mid way through I realized just how hard this was!! I made it through the 100 jumps tho (barely)!!! This crazy workout still wasn't done!!!!
Next ... twist lunges ... 16 lunges with a twist to the side ... in a minute. (10 SETS of these)!! IF I finished the 16 before the minute was up, I had whatever time was left to rest before the next set. I started out with 16 seconds to rest! Then it dropped to 12 seconds ... then 10 seconds ... then 0 seconds between sets! HA!!! I really, really needed a bathroom break by this point, so Stacy decided I would lunge to her apartment ... it worked. Luckily, she lives close to the park!!! For some reason, I thought I was done with the lunges ... NOPE!!! I still had 4 sets to finish before the session was over, so I did those last 4 in Stacy's apartment.
All in all, I finished ... it took all I had, but I did it, and I got a high five at the end!!!! It felt great to get back to these crazy, tough, intense workouts!!! Ironically, I missed them!!!
