On June 4th I posted my measurements as one of my first blog posts...today I wanted to see how my body was affected without working out for the past two weeks...

A few decreases here and there may not seem like that large of a change but it is very noticeable. My legs look completely different from one another in which my right one, has lost all of its muscle mass. Stomach lost some inches due to a lack of appetite from the pain. I have lost a lot of muscle in my butt, calf and thigh of my right leg which was expected, but throughout the hardest part of the recovery I did not loose sight of myself and my health which is very important!
I WENT BACK TO WORK TODAY! It felt good to be out of the house and doing something productive with myself. It was tiring and my knee was in a lot of pain from the constant up and down. I was use to getting tired and relaxing on my couch for hours but in a classroom I am not blessed with that luxury so I was on my feet a lot, and my knee felt every minute!
My students have their field trip tomorrow and I won't be able to go with them because the walk is too far...once they found out they were extremely disappointed. One child, completely serious, asked if i was coming tomorrow...I told him no. He said, "oh no, I wanted you to play soccer with us"...my heart melted! I WISH I could play soccer with them!! I had "Feel better" cards piled up on my desk and hugs greeted me as soon as they walked into the classroom, it was a great feeling. One of my students made me a bracelet with beads with the letters of my name...my class is absolutely amazing!
Since it is coming to the end of the year, I have to begin packing my class which I am not looking forward to. I move very slow and it is going to take me forever but the sooner I start, the quicker I will get it over with. I definitely need a vacation after all of this-- it has been a HELL OF A YEAR!
After work, I came home and laid on my couch until dinner...I did not want to move after such a long day on my feet. Wednesday I have an appointment to see my orthopedic which I am really looking forward to. I am tired of having the huge gauze pad covering my knee with the tape to prevent it from getting wet which I feel like rips a piece of skin off each time I move. I am continuing to move around my leg to try and get the mobility back, I just hope I am not making anything worse. Time to continue resting, tomorrow is another day!
